Homes in Vaquero in High Demand
April 13th, 2013 | by The Update
In Westlake’s popular Vaquero community, real estate sales continue to be strong. There were 18 lots sold in the first quarter of 2013, and another nine are pending, compared to a total of 48 lot sales in 2012.
Jeff Watson with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty believes this level of sales will not last with only 14 lots on the market. Home sales also remain brisk with six sales already this year, compared to 15 for all of 2012. Several excellent homes are now on the market.
Such is the demand for living in a vibrant community featuring a Tom Fazio-designed golf course and luxury amenities at every turn. In its continuing quest to be the best community in North Texas the Vaquero Club has recently undergone significant improvements to the golf course and the golfing experience. “There are very few North Texas communities with the quality of Vaquero and its amenities,” Watson said.
Watson has worked with premier golf course communities for 20 years including the last four years at Vaquero where he serves as the Club’s membership and real estate liaison. Cheryl Staley, who joined Watson in marketing the Vaquero properties, was part of the opening team for the Vaquero Club and helped develop the service standards that have made Vaquero an award-winning golf community.
This outstanding community, with 300 residences and lots, has become home to many business executives and professionals who enjoy its proximity to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and the convenience of being just 30 minutes from downtown Dallas and downtown Fort Worth.
With a 24-hour attended entrance, Vaquero is a great place to raise a family and enjoy peace of mind when traveling. Westlake offers great opportunities for children, including the nationally ranked, town-owned Westlake Academy.
