Ray Kingsbury has spent a lot of time enjoying the parks surrounding Lake Grapevine.

Now, he and his wife, Rosie, can’t wait to live there – in The Lakeside Tower, the new luxury high-rise going up on the North Shore.

“I run a lot and bike, and it’s usually around the lake,” he said. “Having direct access to that from our home will be terrific.”

The Kingsburys, who raised their children in Southlake, were searching for home sites around the lake for their “empty-nester” lifestyle when they discovered The Lakeside Tower.

And when they realized the Tower would provide incredible views of Lake Grapevine from a luxury lock-and-leave home, they knew they’d found their spot.

“Frankly, we fell in love with it,” Ray Kingsbury said. “We’d have what we wanted at the lake – the view – but with low to no maintenance.”

Ray and Rosie Kingsbury have reserved a condominium with a Monaco floorplan on the 10th floor – three bedrooms and three baths in 2,722 square feet, including a 370-square-foot balcony.

“We wanted enough room to feel comfortable, and the balcony was a very important feature for us,” Ray Kingsbury said. “The size of the balcony, going across the whole width of the unit, offers access from the living room, the master bedroom and the guest bedroom, all with spectacular views.”

Being 10 minutes from DFW International Airport was also important, as Ray travels for work. And The Lakeside Tower’s lock-and-leave security, which will have 24-hour concierge service, gave the Kingsbury’s peace of mind.

Ray Kingsbury said he has been pleased with how flexible the developer, Realty Capital Management, has been about adapting the floorplan for them.

“We will have some input into what the exact floorplan will look like,” he said. “We built our home in Southlake and really enjoyed that process. I did not want a situation where you went in and they said, ‘This is what you get, take it or leave it.’”
